Meet the Staff
My staff and I provide our patients with caring, sensitive and gentle dentistry. Your comfort is our number one concern.
We understand that the dentist is a scary thing for some people, which is why we offer nitrous oxide gas in our practice.
Emergency care is available and we are always accepting new patients. We participate with Delta Dental,
Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Dentemax. We accept most insurance, which are submitted for you.
Dr. Ruegsegger graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2003. She began her career as an associate and bought this practice in 2004 from Dr. Richard Marr. We moved to our current location in December of 2005. She is from the Bay City area. She has a cat named Toffee and a black lab named Mickey. When she isn't working on a patient, she likes to scrapbook, knit, bike, play softball, target shoot and pretty much do any outdoor activity. She loves college football, especially Michigan Football.
Kim is a 2001 Ferris State University graduate. She is happily married to Justin, a State of Michigan Employee. She has two boys, Tyler (step-son) and Jax. Tyler is a sophomore at T.C. West High School. Jax is her one and a half old busy, baby boy. Kim enjoys being outdoors, snow shoeing, hiking, biking, canoeing and relaxing on the beach.
Sharilyn joined our practice in December of 2007. She is a Certified Dental Assistant with 13 years of experience. She loves being a dental assistant and really enjoys getting to know our patients and making them feel comfortable while they are here. She has lived in Traverse City since 2007. She was raised in Berrien Springs, Michigan, which is the southwestern most part of the state. She loves the outdoors and enjoys camping, fishing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Her favorite activity is going to the beach in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. She is a busy mom with her boys, Austin and Matthew, and the family black lab named Ray. She also has her boyfriend, Tom and his two children, Zach and Cali. Between the four kids, Tom and her family here in T.C., she is always busy doing something.
Jenna is new to working in the Traverse City area, but has been practicing hygiene since 2004. She is a graduate of Ferris State University in 2004. She went to Cadillac High School and has lived in Northern Michigan of most of her life. She joined our office in August of 2010. She has two cats named Tigey and Shelby. She enjoys spending her free time reading, hanging out with friends and being outdoors.
Teresa moved to Traverse City in 2010 from Lansing. She joined our practice in November of 2010. She has over 30 years of experience in the dental field. She is a very wonderful resource for our patients. She will greet you at the front desk with her warm smile! She is married to her wonderful husband, Hal. They have nine grandchildren, one cat (Oscie) and her mother-in-law to keep them busy. In her spare time, she likes to landscape, collect sports memorabilia, read and do numerous crafts. Unfortunately, she is a Spartan. We won't hold that against her:) Go Blue!!:)
